I needed a case for heavy work travel. I had a nice one with side pockets that were tough but not tougher than the airlines. Turned into snag points after years then quickly got worn out. This Edinburgh is a dream. Hard shell with no pockets to snag. Doesnt lose the space. Actualy has alot more for it being similar size. Wheels float. Enough, well placed, partitions to give alot of space yet keep evreything secure. Weighs like 1/4 my old bag so more of the 50lb limit is mine to uses. Was worried about how fast it would scratch but seems lagit. Im less worried seeing it in person. It is a static magnet . If you have pets it will probubly need a wipe down befor you leave unless you like the shaggy look.
